INTERNET ORDERS - All internet orders are processed within 24-48 hours, unless otherwise specified. If you need to cancel an order, please do so within the first 24 hours. If your product has shipped, the cancellation will be treated as a return. (See Return Policy, below)
When checking out with your shopping cart, you will see an option for Home Delivery or Standard Shipping. If you would like Home Delivery, please make certain your order qualifies before selecting this option. (Read our Delivery Policy) *Frozen Raw Food orders are only available through Home Delivery at this time. When you choose Home Delivery, ATG will contact you by email or phone to set this up. Although we make every effort to ensure items listed on our website are in stock, on occasion an item may be out of stock. If an item is out of stock, we will send you a notification email regarding the estimated length of time your product will be on back-order. We will notify you when the item is available for shipping.
SHIPPING - We only ship within the contiguous U.S. states to a physical mailing address. We are unable to ship to a PO Box. Non-perishable items ship via standard UPS ground service; however, expedited services such as 2nd day air and overnight delivery are also available.
Most items ship within 2-5 business days. We ship Monday through Friday except major holidays such as New Year’s Eve, New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas.
Shipping fees are based on the actual weight of the product(s) plus packaging. Fees are calculated through UPS’s shipping website. UPS provides customers with tracking information. When your order ships, you will receive a shipping confirmation email.
RAW ORDERS are highly perishable! At this time, Against The Grain is not shipping raw frozen orders. They are available for pick-up or home delivery only. See our Delivery Policy for details or contact us at ATGPetNutrition@gmail.com
Regarding Occassional Order Delays
Against The Grain (ATG) is here to provide pet owners with the healthiest pet foods, supplements and supplies for their furry companions. As a family owned and operated business, we are very grateful to our loyal customers that continue to recommend our home delivery service and top of the line products.
During this phase of rapid growth, there could be a short delay from order date to delivery date. While some items can be drop shipped from the supplier, most deliveries come directly from ATG to you. Normal delivery time is 3-4 working days from order placement. We are encouraging first time customers to order food 5-7 days in advance. Once ATG knows your preferred brands, we guarantee to keep them in stock… just for you!

We offer refunds, exchanges and/or store credits based on the following conditions:
- Dry Food Items: We accept returns of unopened product for refund, exchange or store credit within 14 days of purchase. Item must be in its original condition and packaging.
- Canned Food Items: We accept returns of unopened canned goods for refund, exchange or store credit within 30 days of purchase.
- Raw Food Items: Due to their perishable nature, we cannot accept returns on raw frozen products. All frozen food sales are final.
- Quality Control Issues: If a food product you purchase from Against The Grain is received in unusable condition due to spoilage or pests, please notify us immediately so we can ascertain the source of the problem. You will be given a full refund or an exchange for another product of equal value.
***About Food Items: We cannot guarantee that your pet will like or eat what you purchase from us. Pets, especially cats, get accustomed to eating certain foods and it can be challenging to make even a healthy switch. If after some time and persuasion, your pet still will not eat the new food please consider donating it to your local animal shelter. ATG cannot accept returns of opened food products.
Gifted Items: Items received as a gift (paid for by someone other than you) can be exchanged for an item of equal value or returned for a store credit, provided the item is in new condition.
Sale Items: We do not accept returns on sale items. These sales are final.
Damaged Items: Should an item arrive to you damaged we will absolutely exchange it. If the exact item is unavailable, ATG will issue you a store credit or full refund. *ATG cannot be responsible for home delivery products that were stolen or plundered by other animals.
Items that qualify for a refund must be returned to ATG in re-saleable condition! Once we receive and inspect your returned merchandise, we will issue you a refund (including tax, if any). If you paid by credit card, we will charge-back the amount to your credit card.
Return Procedure - To return any item for a refund or exchange, you must first notify us before you return the product for an authorization number. If you are returning by mail or UPS, please write the authorization number clearly on the outside of your shipping box. Do not write on the item itself. If you are a Home Delivery customer, ATG can arrange to pick up the unwanted item the next time we are in your area.
IMPORTANT: When returning an item for refund, please make certain the items are well protected and packaged similar to the way you received them. Whenever possible, use the original packaging. You must also include a copy of your invoice. We highly recommend you send your return package via UPS or Parcel Post insured. Insurance protects you in case the items are damaged or lost in transit.
Return postage costs for refunds of undamaged items are the responsibility of the customer.
